MeexPaws® Potty Training Guide

Want your furry friend to use an indoor potty like a pro? Don’t worry—we’ve broken it down into 5 super simple steps! Whether your pup is a total newbie or a seasoned outdoor pooper, they’ll be able to adjust to the magical MeexPaws® grass pad in no time.

Step 1: Let Your Dog Explore the Pad

Place the MeexPaws® potty pad in a designated spot at home and let your dog sniff, walk on, and get familiar with it.

The goal: Help your pup understand, “Yep, this is where I’m supposed to go!”

Step 2: Keep the Pad in One Spot

Choose a quiet, convenient corner in your home—and stick to it.

Once your dog figures out where their “toilet” is, they’ll start going there regularly. Moving it around too much? That just causes confusion.

Step 3: Time It Right – Stick to a Schedule

Take your dog to the potty pad after meals, playtime, and naps.

Dogs love routine, and sticking to a consistent potty schedule will help your pup learn faster. Before long, they’ll head there on their own!

Step 4: Reward the Good Behavior

Every time your pup goes potty on the pad, give immediate praise or a little treat!

A belly rub, a snack, or a cheerful “Good dog!” helps them associate the pad with positive outcomes. The more praise, the faster they learn!

Step 5: Gradually Move the Pad Inside

For dogs used to going outdoors, start by placing the potty pad near the door they usually go out from.

Over several days or weeks, slowly move it to the spot where you want it indoors. This gentle transition helps them adjust without stress.
